[mood |frustratedfrustrated]
[music |Cake - Satan is My Motor]

I quit playing World of Warcraft. I've gone from filling up all my spare time with a video game, to now feeling like I have too much spare time. I'm sure it'll balance out again. I'm contemplating buying Final Fantasy 12, at least that game will have an ending.

Currently extremely frustrated, because we're trying to book travel, and the websites won't accept Erin's card, nor my card. Something about debit cards, I guess, because we both have sufficient funds in our accounts. It's a pain in the ass, since neither of us are really excited about flying during the holidays. I miss the family back home, but why can't my winter break be at a more convenient time?

I, uh, still don't really feel compelled to update this thing, and don't know what to post about. So, uh...there it is.

Butts lol.

Styro Booty [Mar. 18th, 2006|12:31 pm]
Buy it on DVD today!
[music |Pinback - Syracuse]

Erin bought a bag of Pirate's Booty at Whole Foods, but neglected to eat it while she was here. So last night, I opened it, as I wanted a snack. I commented that it tasted kind of like cheddar flavored styrofoam. It wasn't quite so bad, it tastes good even if the texture is weird.

Well, I accidentally left the bag open overnight. This afternoon, I try some, and it really now has the texture of styrofoam. You know that kind of packing peanut that is Earth-friendly, dissolves in water, and you can chew it, if you're adventurous? Yeah, that's Pirate's Booty after they leave it open for 12 hours, minus the cheddar flavor.

I know this LJ is pretty empty. LA is treating me well, despite the lack of updates here.

Vegas: Best to Worst [Mar. 7th, 2006|02:26 pm]
Buy it on DVD today!
[mood |calmcalm]

Went to Las Vegas last weekend. Events and sites from best to worst:

-Obnoxious guy with horrible hair at bar sneezing, and losing his toupee!
-Erin's crazy Egyptian beaded hat.
-Basically being able to drink in public.
-Putting in the $30 minimum on the $2 Texas Hold-em table, and coming out with $60.
-Putting in $25 at the Blackjack table, and leaving with $21. Not bad for an hour's entertainment.
-Obnoxious guy being obnoxious for the rest of dinner besides the toupee.
-Sleeping on the pull-out bed (but it was free!)
-Seeing posters for Carrot-Top at the Luxor about 50 times. Scary!

Good times over-all. A++ would visit again.

It is now a goal in my life to defend the the teaching of evolution in science classes by joining Project Steve!

Just 3-5 more years, and I'll have the PhD I need to join.

I started a 43 Things page. So far I have 9. 2 of them overlap, so it's really more like 8.

Maybe I need more goals in life.

I think I'm gonna give fitness a real go this quarter. One hour or less, 3 times a week is not that significant of a time sink, and even if I don't go to the gym, even doing a few sets of pushups or situps a few times a week will make an impact.

I just did a set of 20 pushups, and by the 15th, it was getting hard. I'm not fat by any standard, but I'm not really "in shape", either. It's a satisfying sort of "tired", really.
